We are so excited to have been featured in the most recent Nevada In the West magazine issue! We were given permission to share this article on the Mary Lee Nichols School, the oldest school building in the city of Sparks – and now home to Windy Moon Quilts Sewing Center! We hope you enjoy this article as much as we did.

  • I remember so many happy days there…we played football on the front lawn, which was really lawn-concrete-lawn-concrete-lawn. Depending on where one was tackled, it could be a hard landing. I loved all my classmates and am still in touch with many of them.

  • We are so looking forward to this celebration. I am in contact with our third grade teacher, Marjorie McKnight Carr. She will be there along with my father in-law, Joe Gandolfo. Those were fun times and to think only a four room and grade school. Hope to see many of our classmates next month.
