It’s now the end of January, and we wanted to check in to see if you’re sticking to your resolutions.
If you’ve already fallen off the band-wagon, that’s okay, because we have a few fun quilting resolutions to add to your list. That’s right, you can ditch the diets and grab your sewing machine, because 2017 is going to be all about creating something new. Here’s a few of our favorite quilting resolutions for the new year:
Go Bold with Your Fabrics- Try Something New!
If you always stick to the same colors and patterns, now is the time to hit your local quilt store and take a look at some of the fun fabrics. From holiday themes, to nature, to bold designs and prints, we promise you’ll feel like a kid in the candy store when you get a chance to explore all the fun colors and styles.
Take a Class You’ve Never Tried Before
Taking a quilting class is a great way to learn a new skill, relax, and have fun meeting new people. We have a variety of fun quilting and sewing classes planned for 2017. Check out our calendar to see everything that we have going on at The Moon this year.

Get to Know Your Feet Series: Wonder what to do with those odd feet for your machine that just sit in the drawer? In this series, we will explore 2 different feet in each session. This is a technique class where we will be making samples. Each session is $30 or 3 sessions for $80.
And Many More!
Make a Homemade Gift for a Friend
You can go the store bought route for your gifts, but it’s even more special to make something that’s handmade. A quilt is the perfect gift for holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions. It’s a keepsake that can be personalized for each individual and treasured for years to come.
Quilt Tip: Mark your calendar a year in advance for special occasions, so you know when to begin and finish each project in time for gifting.
